LEAP AND SPACEPORT AMERICA SIGN PLANNING AGREEMENT TO ENABLE HIGH-CADENCE MISSIONS

Lafayette, CO – June 3, 2025 - LEAP, a next-generation space logistics company, has signed a planning agreement with Spaceport America, to support a series of responsive suborbital missions.

The agreement sets the stage for LEAP to begin coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), through Spaceport America, to support a wide range of suborbital missions.
With a pipeline of commercial customers already under contract, LEAP’s upcoming missions will also address urgent needs of the Department of Defense and additional government clients.

“This is a major milestone for our team,” said Adam Merchant, Vice President at LEAP. “Spaceport America offers the right combination of airspace, infrastructure, and freedom to move fast. We’re launching a new era of space logistics - fast, responsive, and reusable from day one.”

Upon execution of an operations agreement, the partnership will commence with initial flights as early as Q4 2025. These early missions would further validate LEAP’s vehicle hardware, through key demonstrations of suborbital point-to-point delivery and hypersonic testing on a high-cadence, fully reusable platform – all critical to LEAP’s long-term vision of on-demand, flexible, space logistics.

Following its initial launches, LEAP plans to conduct suborbital flights annually from Spaceport America, supporting:
-
Microgravity research
-
Hypersonic technology demonstrations
-
Advanced propulsion testing
-
Rapid logistics and point-to-point delivery applications

“Spaceport America’s growing infrastructure, favorable environment, proven track record of hosting Kármán-line unguided rocket launches into U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range, around-the-clock fire, security, and emergency medical services — combined with access to WSMR support services — make it an ideal testbed for the high-cadence launches that LEAP will use to advance its long-term vision,” said Scott McLaughlin, Executive Director at Spaceport America. “We look forward to supporting LEAP and coordinating with the FAA and WSMR, as we expand our growing catalog of suborbital projects.”
LEAP is rapidly building momentum following a successful Seed Round raise. With a launch site selected, hardware under test, and mission manifests already in place, the company is on track to deliver a new standard in fast, flexible space logistics.

About Spaceport America
Spaceport America is the first purpose-built commercial spaceport in the world. The FAA-licensed launch complex, situated on 18,000 acres adjacent to the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico, has a rocket-friendly environment of 6,000 square miles of restricted airspace, low population density, a 12,000-foot by 200-foot runway, vertical launch complexes, and about 340 days of sunshine and low humidity.

Some of the most respected companies in the commercial space industry are tenants at Spaceport America: Virgin Galactic, HAPSMobile/AeroVironment, UP Aerospace, SpinLaunch, Swift Engineering, Isotropic, and Prismatic Ltd., a subsidiary of BAE Systems.

In addition to its full-time tenants, Spaceport America’s customer base includes the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Precision AI, and Venus Aerospace, who conducted the first-ever test flight of a rotating detonation rocket engine (RDRE) in the United States from Spaceport America in May of 2025.
