BUILD & TEST APPRENTICESHIP
Your Mission
Build and integrate critical rocket sub-assemblies to ensure they are correctly assembled, integrated, and tested for flight, while working closely with propulsion, avionics, structures and test engineers. You will also help set up and tear down our test environments, from instrumentation rigging to basic data acquisition prep. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, bridging the gap between hardware delivery and real-world testing, this role offers you front-row access to every milestone on the path to launch.
Summary
This is a unique opportunity to join LEAP at the ground level as part of our new Apprenticeship Program. Participants will gain hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing and testing, apply skills from their technical programs, and push beyond traditional trade boundaries. Apprentices will be expected to learn quickly, adapt to dynamic environments, and contribute meaningfully to mission-driven work.

Eligibility
Applicants from the programs listed below are strongly preferred; candidates from other similar accredited technical programs will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Pay & Schedule
The hourly range for this apprenticeship is $18-$25 per hour, depending on academic program, skills, and prior experience. Apprenticeships are designed as short-term learning opportunities and are not typically benefits-eligible. If benefits are offered, they may include medical benefits participation, professional development stipends, and paid time off, subject to role length and company policies.

Part-time: 3-5 hours/day, 5 days per week

Weekends as needed for test operations

Flexible start dates; schedules coordinated around academic commitments
Contract
3-6 months. This apprenticeship may be renewed or converted to a full-time role. Successful apprentices will be considered for permanent employment opportunities with LEAP.

Requirements

U.S. citizen with a valid passport

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills

Must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance

Strong work ethic, reliability, and interest in aerospace/space systems
